At Turning Point, we work with young women ages 16-21 that need continued treatment to learn and master independent living skills. These skills include but are not limited to: character development, money management, employment assistance, substance abuse education, furthering their education, healthy diet and exercise programs as well as developing healthy relationships with family and friends.
The girls at this house also have individual and group therapy as well as 7 psycho-educational groups at work. They are required to work a minimum of 3 days per week as well as maintain a bank account with 50% of their earnings being deposited each pay period. These girls also participate in simulated bill paying. They are required to mail bills out each month on time using a budget. The bills are mailed out by the residential program director.
